During TomoFair there will be diffent kinds of demonstraties in the Japanese martial arts karate.
The word ‘karate’ comes from Japan. It means ‘empty hand’. Karate is therefor a self defence art, without the use of weapons. Karate has a long line of history that originated in Okinawa and probably has roots in China.
Karate is like a tree with many branches and therefor has developed a lot of styles during the years.
